🌿 Help the Garden Grow. Walk With Dean.

Steve Cabrera

Volunteer Call

As we head into summer, momentum is building at the Pyramid Lake Spiritual Healing Center. The raised beds are built. The soil is down. The seeds are ready. What we need now is you.

We’re looking for two kinds of help—both in Nixon, NV:

1. Garden Volunteers

The garden is ready for planting, and we need hands to keep it alive—watering, weeding, and checking in. Our lead garden steward, Nellie, will be away much of the summer in ceremony. She’s done the groundwork. Now we’re asking for steady support to carry it through.

This is simple, physical, meaningful work. We’re looking for people who can spend time regularly in Nixon—weekly or semi-regular visits make a big difference.

2. Support Dean’s Ongoing Healing

Dean is walking again with the help of a prosthetic made through our shared effort—a powerful step forward in his healing. What he needs now is regular support to keep building strength and mobility.

We’re looking for people to support Dean as he continues this work—helping him move, stand, or simply spend time outside. What’s needed may vary, but the heart of it is steady presence and care. No special skills are required—we’ll walk you through it.

You don’t need experience. You don’t need to have it all figured out.

If you can make the trip to Nixon and show up with care, we’ll help with the rest.

And along the way, you’ll have the chance to learn directly from Dean—to ask questions, hear stories, and witness his approach to healing and connection. These are opportunities to learn from someone with deep spiritual and cultural grounding.

This isn’t just about filling slots. It’s about stepping into relationship—with land, with each other, and with the work Dean has dedicated his life to.

If that speaks to you, take the next step.
